Explore our interactive toolkit identifying the barriers to change in the NHS and practical solutions – as identified by NHS staff and service users.
HSJ, together with sister title Nursing Times and NHS Improving Quality, launched the Challenge Top-Down Change campaign to find out if the power of the crowd could help NHS organisations change better.
We turned to NHS staff and service users to identify the obstacles to change, and the building blocks to overcome them. We then invited contributors to identify and further develop a number of solutions that can be quickly adopted by any organisation.
Overall 3,595 people in 45 countries had 13,895 ideas. A voting system and expert panels whittled down the thousands of contributions received into implementable ideas.
Use this toolkit to see the barriers and building blocks, and summaries of the solutions – all defined by you.
